Vancouver Traditional Latin Mass Community Celebrates Christmas
Midnight Mass
For the first time in over 35 years the Vancouver Traditional
Latin Mass Community celebrated Christmas Midnight Mass. Although the Mass
had to be held at 21:00 hours, and followed a Novus Ordo Mass, it was very
well attended with upwards of 400 in attendance.
Our heartfelt thanks and prayers are with Fr. Newman who invited
us to say Mass at Corpus Christi his Parish Church. We wish also to thank
specifically Adam Lambert for his work with the Altar Servers and Mark Donnerly
for his hard work with our Choir. We also wish to thank Michael Janek for
the Schola which sang the Mass on Christmas Day. Our thanks also go out to
all those who worked so hard to make these occasions a success. We continue
to hope and pray that in the not too distant future our midnight Masses will
actually be able to be celebrated at midnight.
The situation is also unique in that this is the first time
in Vancouver, with the exception of funeral and wedding Masses, that the Traditional
Latin Mass community has been able to celebrate a Mass away from Holy Spirit
Parish Church.
