From the Pres. of our Una Voce Chapter in Toronto: - July 4/11
-
On another note, we had 225 people at a Corpus Christi Missa Solemnis in Toronto and over 600 on the Feast of the Sacred Heart with Auxiliary Bishop John Boissonneau "in choro" and Homilist.
In Kitchener, over 400 attended a morning Missa Solemnis on Canada Day in Honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We have already confirmed a Missa Cantata in Richmond Hill to be celebrated by the Associate Pastor. One of our goal is to have a Missa Cantata or Missa Solemnis on the traditional Holy Days of Obligation or major feasts and to spread these across the Archdiocese of Toronto to promote the Holy Mass in the Extraordinary Form.
- Una Voce Japan.
- Una Voce Portugal.
The International Federation Una Voce is pleased to announce the admission of two new members. The Federation Council has approved the applications for membership from Una Voce Japan and Una Voce Portugal. This is another sign of progress for the Una Voce Federation and further evidence about the growing attraction to young people of the traditional Roman rite of Holy Mass. I am sure that Our Lady of Akita and Our Lady of Fatima will bring blessings on these new members.

The International Federation Una Voce has been asked to publicise a very important conference which is taking place in Rome on the weekend of 13 to 15 May 2011. It is being organised by Fr Vincenzo Nuara, O.P. of the association Youth and Tradition and is being supported by officials of the Ecclesia Dei Commission, the FSSP, the ICRSP, and the Franciscans of the Immaculate.
-
The official programme (in Italian) is available here and an English translation here.
Fr Nuara, O.P. has worked wonders in assembling such a programme, and the rich array of high profile speakers indicates the level of support for his conference. This is a very important conference, culminating as it does in a Pontifical Mass at the Faldstool in St Peter’s Basilica, celebrated by His Eminence Antonio Cardinal Cañizares Llovera.
-
The costs incurred in arranging such a programme are quite heavy and donations would be gratefully received.

Nothing can compare to a visit to Rome to admire the Sistine Chapel in person, or feel
the "embrace" of the colonnade surrounding St. Peter's Square.
But a two-year project accomplished by students of the Villanova University
of Pennsylvania can bring part of the "Rome experience" into your home.
St. Peter's,
The Sistine Chapel,
St. Paul's Outside the Walls and
St. John Lateran are all available for viewing virtually at the Vatican web site.
Please note, some of these are rather large files.
Be patient - it will be worth the wait. All but the link to the Sistine Chapel will
show an overview page first. Select one of the links on the left to go to that particular
part of the building and start your virtual tour.
Once the download completes, left-click and hold, then move your mouse to change your view.
