Vancouver Traditional Mass Society



VANCOUVER TRADITIONAL MASS SOCIETY (VTMS)

The Vancouver Traditional Mass Society is a charitable society incorporated under the laws of British Columbia, Canada on 13th. July, 1989.

The purposes of the society are:

  • p To work towards the organic restoration of the Liturgy in conformity with its nature and the tradition of the Church.
  • p To ensure that the Roman Mass codified by St. Pius V is maintained as one of the forms of Eucharistic celebration which are recognized and honoured in universal liturgical life.
  • To safeguard and restore the use of Latin Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony in the liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • To enable the members of the Society and, by the mission of their apostolate, all the faithful to better understand and more faithfully participate in the Catholic liturgy as sacred action.
